We take Haile to see Dr. Cogen in Birmingham at the Callhan Eye Foundation. She hoasbeen seeing him for a good while now. We have tried the drops in her stronger eye to make the weaker eye more stronger, that didn.t work like it needed to. It showed us that she was still capable of using the weaker eye. We also tried the patch on her eye, that mdidn.t work. We then tried the classes, but, Hailey keep throwing them off. So, after a while of trying that and seeing if her eyes would get better in time, Dr. Cogen suggested surgery and said that it has a 75 percent chance to work. So, we scheduled the eye muscle surgery on both eyes for Nov. 4, 2011. The doctor And nurse have reassured me that the surgery will goo good and she wouldn't.t be in pain. But, as any mother knOws, it's very scary when your child is needing surgery or when their sick.
